Exhibition: Extra Muros, beyond the walls
An exhibition that aims to break down barriers and encourage openness
Open until 5 November 2023, the exhibition ‘Extra Muros, beyond the walls’ has taken up residence at Liège-Guillemins train station following ‘I Love Japan’. Whether the great wall of China, the Berlin wall, or the sound barrier, visitors will discover an original interpretation of the world, through its iconic walls and immersive and interactive decor, the latter comprising artworks and objects from private collections or institutions like the Louvre.
Come and explore the world through its walls and let yourself be transported by their narratives. Whether they are historical, psychological or even botanical, these ramparts have become part of our everyday lives and reveal many facets of our reality.
The visitor’s route will follow three stages. The first stage illustrates walls that oppress and stifle, the second stage presents walls of defence built by humans throughout history, while the third stage explores walls that stake a claim and show artistic expression in protest. It is all an invitation to deconstruct the oppressive walls that separate individuals.
Once again Europa Expo has created an exhibition with an international status that will not leave you indifferent.
