1 - Liège
Shaped by the contrasts between the past, on the one hand, and modernity, on the other, Liège reveals itself to you via a coach tour. Explore, on the one hand, the legacies of the past with the rich cultural and architectural heritage attested by the Historical Heart, the Slopes of the Citadel and, on the other hand, innovation with the Guillemins quarter, its superb train station built by Santiago Calatrava and its impressive Tour des Finances.
2 - The Liège-Guillemins train station by Calatrava
Airy and functional, this high-speed train station, the work of Santiago Calatrava, is an attraction well beyond our borders and is considered one of Europe’s most beautiful railway stations. Discover it in all its facets, from the technological challenge to its aesthetic side.
3 - Château de Modave
Located on a rocky promontory overlooking the Hoyoux valley, the castle offers an outstanding view across the surrounding natural landscape. Partially destroyed in the middle of the 17th century, it was restored and transformed into an elegant pleasure residence, the furniture of which comprises outstanding pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries. The pleasant tour of the gardens is also included.
4 - Château de Jehay
This castle, with its architecture that is unique in Europe, is a listed part of Wallonia’s outstanding heritage! Between major historical facts and anecdotes, discover the history of this outstanding building and its sumptuous collection of furniture.
5 - The Historical Heart of Liège and its churches
Among the unmissable sites in the Historical Heart, discover Saint-Paul Cathedral and its treasure: goldsmithing, ivories, manuscripts, sculptures, paintings, antique fabrics. The Collegiate Church of Saint Barthélemy will also reveal its secrets to you: The baptismal font, one of the universal masterpieces of Romanesque sculpture from the start of the 7th century, is considered one of the seven wonders of Belgium.
6 - Free time for shopping
Liège abounds in stores and artisans. To make sure you don’t miss a thing, the “Shop’In Design” guide, provided by us, will accompany you throughout your shopping afternoon! Or visit an exhibition at Cité Miroir: This former converted swimming pool is now an exceptional location for vivid shows put to the service of education, dialogue and culture, right in the heart of Liège.
