Bicentenary of Val Saint-Lambert 1826-2026
Immerse yourself in 200 years of crystal, emotion and craftsmanship
To mark its 200th anniversary, Val Saint-Lambert invites visitors to discover its exceptional glassmaking heritage through an outstanding programme of events. From April to December 2026, the bicentenary celebrates two centuries of craftsmanship, creativity and artistic innovation at this iconic site in the Liège region.
This initiative is an invitation to rediscover Val Saint-Lambert as a vibrant, inspiring and future-oriented destination.
Until December, the site will come alive with exhibitions, immersive experiences, performances and craft demonstrations. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exceptional “Cristal Vivant” (eng. “Living Crystal”) exhibition in the abbey, attend glassblowing demonstrations in the workshops—where master glassmakers reveal the magic of molten crystal being shaped before the audience’s eyes—or experience the immersive show “Lumina Crystallis”, directed by Luc Petit and presented from 11 to 27 September.
An authentic cultural experience, ideal for enhancing the programme of a stay or group excursion in the Province of Liège.
