Located near Our Natural Park is the beautiful city of Vianden and the magnificent castle that makes it famous. This is certainly among the most beautiful residences from the Romanesque and Gothic periods of Europe. Listed in the national heritage and recognized as one of the major historical monuments of Europe, this castle-palace bears the mark of Hohenstaufen. An information center hosts a permanent exhibition on the history of the site, its development, and the many phases of construction and deconstruction of the castle.

This region is also home to Clervaux, a picturesque village to which theSaint-Maurice-et-Saint-Maur abbey and the castle of Clervaux belong. This 12th-century building, which was superbly restored after its destruction during World War II, houses the permanent "The Family of Man" exhibition, a famous photographic collection that has been inscribed in the UNESCO Memory of the World register since 2003. This spectacular site also houses the museum of models of castles and strongholds of Luxembourg and the Museum of the Battle of the Bulge, which exhibits documents, uniforms, and weapons used during this conflict.
