Want to know how to cure a real Ardennes ham and find out where its taste comes from, or even how it is smoked ? Visit the places where ham is salted in Montenau! A real idiosyncrasy of this product, the smoking, which is a recipe from this family business, involves a beechwood fire with juniper berries, while its 6-month maturing period entitles it to the certified Ardennes ham label ! You can try some on site in the adjoining shop and even take some home ! On weekdays you can watch the employees at work through large windows.
