Bastogne War Museum
Experience the modern and interactive re-contextualization of the causes, events and consequences of the Second World War
Just a stone's throw from the Mardasson, the Bastogne War Museum plunges you into the turmoil of the Second World War and the Battle of the Bulge through three visitor experiences.
Inaugurated in 2014, the Bastogne War Museum has welcomed more than 1,300,000 visitors in ten years, making it the reference centre on the Second World War in Belgium. With four visitor experiences spread over three memorial sites, the Bastogne War Museum retraces the key moments of the Battle of the Bulge, both on the battlefields and in the headquarters. It also informs visitors about the Second World War and the post-war period up to the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

Just a stone's throw from the Mardasson Memorial, the Bastogne War Museum, the Museum's original experience, plunges you into the heart of the Second World War and the Battle of the Bulge with three multi-sensory shows and hundreds of period artefacts allowing you to follow the journey of four characters at the heart of the conflict via an audio guide available in four languages. Take a break during your visit at the Bistrot de la Paix (140 seats), where its terrace offers a breathtaking view of the Mardasson Memorial. There's also a shop where you can take home a souvenir of your visit.
