A UNESCO World Heritage Site

Between Liège and Maastricht, in the heart of the verdant Pays de Herve, the authentic coal mining of Blegny-Mine is one of four authentic coal mines in Europe whose underground galleries are accessible to visitors via the original shafts.

Discover the secrets of this veritable gem of Walloon industrial heritage in a unique manner. Put your jacket on, adjust your helmet, and head down the mine shaft to the underground galleries, which are located between 30 and 60 meters below ground.

During your journey, you will be able to attend demonstrations about the use of the machines and the washing and coal-sorting facilities.

This exceptional site is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It will not be communicated to third parties and will be stored for as long as the FTPL wishes to send tourist information. 

Your data will be stored for the duration of the request, in a secure software, which only the individuals in FTPL’s ‘Web’ and ‘Administration’ departments shall have access to, as well as the commercial team responsible for tourist offerings related to group tourism (the Ardenne Incoming service). These individuals will have to connect to it in a secure manner, via a personal log-in ID and password.
