One of the oldest vestiges of the feudal system in Belgium!

Be enticed by the oldest and most interesting vestige of feudalism in Belgium, which overlooks the Semois. It owes its fame to the story of Godefroid de Bouillon and his crusade.

Explore the maze of corridors and halls, all of which are more impressive than ever before, and do not miss the exceptional view of the city and the meandering curves of the Semois.

From the beginnings of its construction towards the year one thousand until the adaptations desired by the architect Vauban, this castle underwent a lot of modifications in order to become the impenetrable fortress as you see today.

What could be more majestic than admiring eagles, hawks, owls, and other birds of prey hovering in this grandiose setting! Enjoy falconry displays, a noble art from the medieval period. Culture lovers will enjoy the permanent "Scriptura, from the quill to the PC" exhibition, which allows you to learn more about the history of writing, from medieval times to the present day. The new permanent exhibition "The armed pilgrimage of Godefroid de Bouillon" reveals 13 emblematic episodes from the life of Godefroid de Bouillon, on natural silk in a 15-metre long fresco !
