Fort Tancremont
Discover 2,000 meters of galleries located between 20 and 28 meters underground
Inaugurated in August 1937, the fort of Tancrémont, situated straddling the commune of Theux and Pépinster, is the last of the new forts in the Fortified Position of Liège.
It still has its original armament and its installations as they were at the time of the surrender on 29 May 1940.
You will also be able to discover its museum exhibiting period uniforms, press cuttings, objects from daily life... and other more "striking" pieces.
The Fort of Tancrémont, still with its weapons almost intact, will make you discover, at 30 m deep, its 2,000 m of galleries composed of the command post, the barracks, a generator, etc... Toclose the visit of the fort, the museum displays period uniforms, press cuttings, objects of the daily life of the inhabitants of this region during WW2 and will astonish you with some "shock" items.
