A photographic journey that combines poetry, tenderness and views of Belgium by Robert Doisneau
The ‘Robert Doisneau. Instants donnés’ exhibition will be held in the spectacular setting of La Boverie museum, an incredible building nestled in the verdant park of the same name, between 31 October 2025 and 19 April 2026. Groups are invited to explore the unique world of Robert Doisneau, a 20th-century master of humanist photography.
This major retrospective brings together almost 400 photographs, blending his most iconic works with previously unseen images steeped in poetry, humour and tenderness. A unique feature of the Liège edition is the focus on Belgium and the Ardent City, through images of the cybernetic tower, Expo ’58, Georges Simenon and the blast furnaces in Liège.
The staging is enriched with rare documents, audio testimonials and interactive media, creating an immersive and accessible tour. An ideal cultural experience for groups that combines artistic discovery and a showcase for Walloon heritage.
