Back to the roots of balneology!

Surely you have already heard of the famous city of Spa? Renowned worldwide for being the birthplace of balneology, as well as for having the oldest casino in the world and its famous Circuit, which hosts the most incredible car races in the world and its many events, this city is sure to leave its mark on you!

Recommended for all balneology and wellness fans!

Visit Spa, THE authentic spa city of reference in Europe. The European cradle of balneology, the city has a reputation that stretches far beyond our borders. A candidate for listing as a UNESCO world heritage site, it is part of the European cultural route visiting the historic spa towns, along with Bath or Vichy, for example.

There are many ways for you to enjoy the balneology, as well as everything related to water: relax in the thermal baths, which are located in the hills and offer a superb view, discover the fascinating history of the city thanks to its museums, admire its famous water sources, including Pouhon Pierre le Grand, the main fountain of Spa and an exceptional element of Spa heritage, or imagine the fantastic journey of natural Spa mineral water by visiting "L'Eaudyssée de Spa", the Spa Monopole factory).

Did you know that the world’s oldest casino is in Spa?

A major site in the city, its casino is deemed to be the oldest in the world. Built in 1763, not so long ago, this temple of gambling was the privileged meeting place of all the royal families and eminent personalities in Europe. Not a season went by without princes or other monarchs staying there. Since this period, the casino has successfully evolved over time to become a very welcoming place that is open to everyone and meets the most modern technical requirements to welcome gamblers from around the world.

Feel the rhythm and sound of the engines at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit

Often cited as the most beautiful circuit in the world by drivers, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is an integral part of the legend and the history of motor sports.

It is not by chance that the circuit is recognized, both by drivers and teams, as the most beautiful in the world. Its selective track of about 7 kilometers provides emotions and vertigo!

The Belgian Grand Prix is one of the best attended races of the season. It has welcomed the best drivers in the discipline every year for several decades. Spa-Francorchamps also hosts many other races, such as the Spa World Rallycross of Benelux, a round of the World Endurance Championship (6h WEC), the Spa 24 hours, the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup, the 24 Hours 2CV, as well as many historic races.

Spa, the theater of major European events

The spa city is also renowned for the organization of several important events, such as the Spa Francofolies, the Spa Theater Festival, the Spa Rally, and many exhibitions.

A great place to visit at any time of the year

Its pedestrianized area and its shops, its many terraces bathed in sunlight, as well as its Parc de Sept Heures, are pleasant places to pass the time with family or friends.

The Spa region also includes some of the most attractive offers!

A short distance from the city, you can enjoy Stavelot Abbey. This completely renovated former cloister has three thematic museums, including one about the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Many temporary exhibitions are also organized there.

Lovers of nature and excitement will not want to miss Forestia, a wildlife and adventure park where they can discover the animals that live in our climate in semi-freedom and enjoy several activities in the trees, in order to explore the forest.

Finally, Warfaaz lake and Gileppe dam are two points on the water that allow you to relax in a bucolic setting.
