DescriptionA unique opportunity to discover places that create natural products while placing ecology at the heart of their project

Eco-responsibility has been a popular tourist trend for a number of years now, but it’s also of vital importance to Ardenne Incoming. To put this commitment into practice, the team has devised this brand new day trip to discover local producers. These producers, who are all located in the magnificent Malmedy region, pay special attention to preserving traditional know-how in their production methods, want to be actively involved in developing the local economy and think about nature conservation.

You’ll start your excursion at the La Framboiserie de Malmedy, where a guided tour and discovery workshop await you. Yves, Marine and the whole team will be delighted to share their passion and expertise with you. You’ll be able to taste fruit or young plants, or smell the delicious aroma of fruit simmering in its copper vats. At this producer, who refuses to use additives, acidifiers and other colourings, the fruit is still processed using artisanal and traditional methods.

After a short coach ride, you’ll arrive at the Bellevaux Brewery, a must for all hop, local produce and nature lovers on a tour of the Eastern Cantons. This family-run micro-brewery is particularly concerned about the environment, and places particular importance on the crystal-clear water from the village spring, which plays a key role in the production of its beers. During the guided tour, you’ll learn more about the different stages in the production of top-fermenting beers and discover all the secrets of brewing. The tour also includes a tasting, an opportunity to quench your thirst with one of the flagship beers such as the pale, dark or white ale or Malmedy Triple!

You can then continue to enjoy this beautiful place by dining either in the old cowshed with its old stone walls, now a tasting room, or, weather permitting, on the pretty terrace overlooking the brewery’s vats. Simplicity, fresh produce and gourmet delights sum up the menu, which is rather small but changes regularly depending on the season and availability of produce. In perfect keeping with the theme of this excursion, this service provider wants to work as closely as possible with short distribution channels, which means choosing to use ingredients that are locally produced, grown or reared.

Finally, after another very short coach journey, you’ll finish at Les Roses de Daniel. This veritable conservatory garden nestling at the foot of the High Fens nature reserve in Bellevaux will delight you! Here you can admire old English and Australian roses, whose rich colours and diverse fragrances will charm you and take you on a journey through more than five centuries of history.
