The first day will begin with a visit to Val-Dieu Abbey, a spiritual landmark for pilgrims and, more notably, its brewery for traditional Belgian beers! Next, head to Liège for the afternoon. Stroll through its historic center to discover its narrow streets, cul-de-sacs, squares, and famous monuments, enjoy a delicate and tasty beer at Brasserie C, savoring one of the most beautiful terraces in Liège, and enjoy free time at the end of the day.
The second day will take you to the province of Luxembourg in Durbuy. Travel through the historic heart of the smallest city in the world and the Topiary Park, with its unique European collection of boxwood. Then head to Modave Castle for the rest of the day. Located on a rocky peak overlooking the valley of Hoyoux, this castle offers an exceptional view of the surrounding nature. A pleasant visit to the gardens is also included.
Return to Liège for a beautiful end to this tour on the final day. Liège heritage will be highlighted with a visit to the Museum of Walloon Life, which will take you through the history of Wallonia and its folklore from the 19th century to the present day, thanks to truly ancient and contemporary artifacts. Next, stroll through the colorful stalls of the La Batte Sunday market, the oldest market in the country and one of the largest in Europe. Do not leave without tasting the delicious Belgian chocolates at the Darcis chocolate museum. This taste discovery will teach you about the history of chocolate through several eras and styles.
